a report written in the sky
one is fire, one is quiet light. they almost never meet — and still, every single day, they hand the sky to each other. sounds familiar.

if the sky feels heavy, or the day is too loud, or you just want to be at the beginning again — there is a button for that.
the actual point
thank you for the mornings i get to wake up into, and for the nights you make feel less dark. thank you for being loud when i go quiet, and for going quiet with me when the world is too much.
i know the distance can make some days feel especially quiet, and lonely. i wish i could close every mile with a hug. until we can, remember that you're loved through every call, every message, and every day we spend getting closer to being together.
i counted the days in numbers because numbers are easy. but the real report is smaller and much bigger than that: the way you say my name, the way you fall asleep mid-sentence, the way a boring tuesday turns into something i want to remember.
we are not the same light. we were never supposed to be. you burn, I reflect — and between us there is an eclipse, and it is my favourite place in the world.
same sky. different light. same side, always.
